Security industry supporters took to the greens for some fair-weather golf at the 2019 AIREF Golf Classic, raising funds for workforce development with a golf tournament yesterday at the Las Vegas National Golf Course.
During the Alarm Industry Research and Education Foundation’s only fundraising event, the par-71 course gave golfers a challenge as they vied for prizes in friendly competition. Through the combined support of the players and sponsors, this year’s event continued AIREF’s mission of supporting industry-specific education initiatives by funneling proceeds toward drawing more talent to the industry.
The tournament’s first-place team from Honeywell Fire included:
- Chris Stanley
- Jonathan Beach
- Mike Fischer
- Ray Reilly
The second-place team, included:
- Earnest Bernard, Qolsys
- Cassidy Daybell, Qolsys

- Chris Orvin, Summit Security
The third-place team, included:

The AIREF Golf Classic will funnel all proceeds from the event to position the industry as one of choice for job seekers in hopes of attracting more qualified talent to our growing and evolving industry amidst a daunting workforce shortage.
The event’s co-chair, Keith Baird concluded, “we appreciate your support of the industry we all share.”
